The Council Meeting - Evening of the Day of Earthquakes

----- This section is for the inevitiable meeting of the Council. All Members of the populace are welcome, but few ever chose to arrive. There are however, notable differences this meeting.. One, Some of the more prominant dragons, unicorns (light) and salamanders are there, lounging in the upper rows... Likewise, a contingent of dwarves and elves are both showed up from their respective cultures and are on opposite sides of the ampatheater. Other groups are also there, both from clans closer to the gathering who dont' have far to travel.. but this time, unlike most.. there are no petitioners to speak before the council... everyone seems to understand somethings going on... There is a woman dressed entirely of ice and who gives off the feeling of complete cold seperated from everyone... and closer to the "stage"...who sticks out like a sore thumb.-------------------


Avani, the elven Earth Council is lounging on a large pillow that easily is twice the size of her. Even for an elf she is delicate. Before the start of the meeting (ie: before everyone arrives) she's healing someone's plant that they have brought forth and speaking to a small, nervous gnome who's anxiously rubbing his hands together. (the gnome is the same one who rode with Kael) Around her pillow it looks like a small meadow has sprung out of every availible crack. She has no attendents, though her daughter and Lucian are supposed to join her when they are availible.. and the only other person who might of been there with her element is already kneeling on her own pillow, seperate from the other four pillows.

Avani watched Haldis, weaving patterns with a needle and thread through her embroidery.. and as always, there was something.. wrong.. about Haldis.. something she could never really put her finger on, but something that was there.. and her use of power earlier that day had not been forgotten by her. How Harpeah screamed in pain when her Staff came down and hit the earth. She shivered, and looked around. A new pillow had been hastely been put together for both shadow and light. Two twin pillows of yin and yang perched just a bit behind Fire.. as no one was sure how Fire would react to his power being split.

Fire... a new council member.. one of the last of the original members to step down. Lance had been a member of the council.. She shivered and forced a brave smile on her face for the little gnome. she answered him in Gnomish when he was done. "no, little one, I didn't realise they would be near Uncle Mountain and your village... I'm sure they would never of meant to cause you distress and of course I will remind the council that you smaller people would perfer to be left in peace."

::Cuan flies in to the the Gathering. Sits in the area for the air tribes::

Kruse comes flying into the meeting area just outside where the council is sitting and waiting, changing into human form when he is completely down. He walks over to the councilmen and looks around, taking in all the features of the members already assembled.

He looks to the Avani and says, "Greetings, I am Kruse. ::He slightly inclines his head:: I'm the new Grand Council Member of Fire. Where am I to sit?"

(Just to clarify, Avani is the woman in ice or no?)

(Avani is not the woman in ice... and my question is this, does Kruse find Haldis (the guardian) before this meeting or after? >.< If before, then we'll need to finish that scene before going to much farther in this conversation. )

(Sorry, I should have made that clear. Yes, he would be going to find Haldis before the meeting. I figured it was something he did before going. Also, he was going to introduce himself before his clan before the meeting as well.)

(the Clan is easy enough to say it happened, Haldis however will need to be handled first.. >< So .. Kruse isn't 'quite' there yet but no one count it against him! ST's tweekin' the poor boys wings!)

After dropping off her loot at Nyx and Ebony's tent for safe keeping, Lena follows the crowd of people headed to the gathering area for a council meeting and sits in the water section, even if only to keep up appearances.

::Cuan looks around for Alida, if he catches a wiff of her he will go and sit next to her::

:: Hesper speaks with the dragon who's tent was ransacked, and then speaks with the Light Clan, introducing herself, not as Diana, but at the Grand Council for Light. Only when the people proclaim her as Diana, will she take the title. and then head to the council meeting::

:: she heads to her tent and changes, then heads to the council site, upon entering, Hesper is wearing a short, white, flowy dress (that stops to her knees) as the Goddess Diana once supposedly wore, her shoulders are squared, head held tall and proud, her silver scales glistening and making her shine, her hair is loose, except for a single braid down the middle of her back. on her back is a doe skinned quiver and bow made of the strongest tree, passed down by the previous Diana::

:: she stops at the entrance to take in the entire scene (hopefully a Unicorn will join her), she walks slowly into the area stopping in the center she looks around for her pillow to sit on. Acknowledging each Council member there with a slight bow::



(anyone that has ever known Hesper has never seen her with her hair down, wearing that short of a dress, carrying a bow (except for her trainer), and has always covered her scales until today)

Zaman walks quietly into the room, his head buried in a book. His wings are folded neatly at his back, and the feathers appear immaculately cleaned. He walks to his chair, and quietly sits down, still reading the book in his hands.
