In an effort to cut down time, and confusion....
If your a slower player (you know who you are) try to only post in one thread at a time in the public forums. Also try to avoid huge screaming scenes were you can't just stand back and watch.. It's sort of a respect thing and sort of a I don't want you to get run over when fast people zip through.
Secondly, if your a fast player in a scene with a slower player, don't run over them!!! Fast players can have up to three threads open, just not in the same timeline.. kay? Last thing we need is a fast player to die and a ton of scenes get ewwy.
Thirdly, if your in a quest or an adventure, private or public, don't post any new threads until it's done. That way if the worst happens, and you die, it won't time-tangle.. The boys playing Time don't want that. ;P
and Fourth:
Crossing is forbidden. <-- Note. Forbidden. Accidental crossing happens to the best of us, and I understand that. If someone's found crossing from thread to thread and harming another player or npc because they (or I) coudln't keep up with it, it's not going to be good.
I won't have people screwed over because they couldn't keep up.. or whatever. If your going to be a council member, or a clan-head with other PC's in the clan, please..
PLEASE..
Do not take it if your a person who can only check the boards twice a week if that. It's okay if your clan's small, dinky and mostly has npc's running around in it. I can play to your schedule.. but if we're constantly waiting on someone to resolve a combatesky like scene, it ruins what little flow a forums game can have. *agan* if your clans small, with only npcs, no worries! *I* can catch you up and keep you caught up with teh NPCs helping you. The bigger clans with players n stuff.. well it offers more protection, but I need active players playin gin it. (at least twice every 2 days)
As always, Chatrooms are fine for "speeding" up scenes as long as everyone can be in the chatroom that's needed to complete the scene.
Remember the golden rule, treat others as you want to be treated.
And please, Post all "timeline" things in the topic of a post. (Year, Summer/Fall/Winter/Spring etc. And try to keep in mind where youare in history at that point, your age..etc.
It's okay if we get a bit tangled, I can untangle us.
I plan on writing quick timeline" snapshots" at the end of everyweek on friday or saturday noting who's done what at what time so people can check back.
As we get closer and closer to end game, however, there will be less fluidity with the timeline then say now.
Again. Don't abuse the system n Piss Chaos..er.. the storyteller off
