Welcome.
Over the next few days I will be putting together a website, as well as various tools for this game. There is no "start" date to the game, I figure we shall all just play it by ear. This is going to be a forums and chatroom mixed game. That is to say, some scenes simply will take place between storyteller and one character, or two.. These can take place over the forums or the chatrooms, but they will be posted on the forums no matter what. That's only because I perfer to keep the storylines straight.
This is a "chose your own adventure" type deal. There is a plot going on that is, well, global, but my focus is between characters. I know my world, how it works, who plays nicely with others, etc. It's up to the players, that is, you, to create characters to either reside in my world, or come here from earth.
I have found that for more experienced players, "characters" are perfered. They are what is familiar. But originally Clans was made to be played as if the person inside the story, is, well, the player. Death, in this world, may not be "the end" it may, in fact, be a beginning.. but there is a price to *everything* here.
Your actions and inactions, desires, hatreds, fears and joys.. all of these things come into play. The point of this story, this weaving of tales is to grow, to understand the other things, other players, and yes, in some ways that means understanding me - as the story teller my view is the one that gets pointed n poked at as npcs and settings.
This is not a torture, this is a labor of love, of passions and desires. Dark things, but the light things. The highs, the lows. the tears the joy and pain.
That's what Clan's is. Are you ready to become apart of it? Have you already left behind a character in our innerworkings? Some places, some people, situations may be familliar, but the story will ever change because of the people in it, interacting and playing.

Why Forums?
I have chosen to use forums as the main-way of roleplaying. In some ways, this makes things slower, and in others, I hope it makes it more easy for people I want to play, to join me in this crazy story, who have work, school or family obligcations that means they dont have a night to play, or in general, a block of time. I'm not personally opposed to chatrooms, but I dont' want people to feel left out either. That's why I decided on the forums...
You can have multiple characters.
You can not post in more then one thread.
This is to keep timelines clear. Somepeople may be "faster" then others and adventure together, that's fine. But I don't want other stories to get "lost" because they can't keep up, or slow down long enough to be apart of other stories. In teh end, This isn't ONE story, This is LOTS of stories, YOUR stories.
I will check the boards, and respond to them, every day at least once, most likely three or four times. I will be availible for chatroom play too.
Unfortantly at this time, well, I don't have any "information" on clans. what's come before, what will come now. For two reasons. One, I want to see what past players are going to be joining me again, and secondly because I want to take the proper time to get everything set up, as opposed to hurling it onto the internet now.
I need a break from VTM, and with William going to 1st grade, and myself in college, I am never sure when I'll have time near the computer, and certainly not when Liam's awake to be driving me nutso! But I do want to RP!

1) Who do you want to play? Do you have a past character you want to bring back? Or redo!? If your going to play a new character, are they based from earth or from Harpeah? Yeah they are going to be two distinctly different things this time around!
2) Approx. how many times a week you think you can devote to checking the forums (..it's okay to be honest n say once or twice a week
I won't hold it against ya!)
3) When you can start playing the game. (RIGHT NOW, a week or two, a month..)
Right now, I'm going to wait a week to see who responds and go from there.
